How Do Campers Choose Their Activities?
A guide for new families curious about how we build each camper’s schedule.
One of the most common questions we hear from new families is: “How do the girls choose their activities?”
A Completely Personalized Schedule
Each day at camp includes six activity periods, and every camper’s schedule is entirely her own (not based on her age group or bunk). We take the interests she shares before camp and turn them into a customized blend of arts classes and traditional camp fun.
Some campers dive deeply into a single art form they love and focus their choices around that. Others prefer to experiment and explore and take a class from every artform around camp. There’s no wrong way to design your camp experience!
How We Build Her Arts Schedule
Before camp, families complete an activity preference form as part of the paperwork process. This helps you guide your daughter through her choices and gives us insight into what excites her most.
If she selects an arts class, whether it’s from dance, visual arts or theater, that class becomes part of her daily schedule. For example, if she chooses jazz dance, we’ll assign it to a specific period (say, 1st period), and she’ll take jazz during that time every day for her session.
This consistency allows young artists to grow, practice, and build skills in meaningful ways while surrounded by supportive instructors.
How Traditional Camp Rotations Work
Alongside the arts, campers can also choose from a variety of traditional camp activities. These periods run on a rotation, giving campers the chance to try multiple experiences throughout their stay, whether that’s playing in the lake, shooting arrows at the archery range, or catching a fish.
Most campers choose four arts periods and two traditional camp periods each day, but the ratio is entirely up to them. Whether she wants all arts, a full mix, or something in between, her schedule is 100% elective-based.

Each Camper Gets Her Own Experience
The beauty of our program is that no two campers have the same schedule. Each girl crafts her own camp experience, one that reflects her passion and gives her the freedom to grow in ways that feel authentic to her.
