Who We Are

The Best of Both Worlds

Berkshire Lake Arts Camp is the best of both worlds for girls ages 7-15 who want to pursue their love of performing and visual arts while also experiencing all the fun of a traditional summer camp.

The Berkshire Lake Experience:

  • Boundless space for creative exploration and meaningful skill development

  • Top-tier instruction, with the freedom, support and encouragement for each girl to explore what interests her — leading to building self-confidence not only in the arts, but also as an individual.

  • A place where girls are empowered to be their best selves.

Our Community

Thanks to our small program size, intimate site and high counselor-to-camper ratio (1:3), each girl receives individual attention, learning and care, and feels deeply connected to our diverse and intentionally built community.

Our passionate and dedicated team of directors have over 50 years of combined camp experience. Each summer, we complement that with a talented staff who are intentionally chosen because they love the arts, embody our philosophy, and are deeply committed to making a difference for our campers.

Each summer, our goal is to foster a warm and welcoming sisterhood where girls feel safe, supported, and empowered to be their authentic selves—creatively, socially, and emotionally. By stepping out of their comfort zones, trying new things, and being away from home, our campers build independence, resilience, and self-esteem in a nurturing environment filled with inspiring female role models. When she leaves camp, we hope each girl has made deep friendships, grown in her skills, and learned that being her authentic self is something to be celebrated.

It all happens on our beautiful lakeside setting in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. Berkshire Lake Arts Camp proudly boasts its own individual camp property. We don’t share our facilities with any other programs, allowing our girls the freedom to use all of our camp’s facilities at all times!
