Theater

Bring stories to life

Our intimate theater program provides a welcoming and encouraging environment to explore the different elements of being a performer, including acting, singing and dancing. Whether you’re an experienced actor or new to performing, our expert instruction will help you discover your talents and grow your skills. End the session by learning about performance etiquette, and if you’re feeling ready, you’ll perform a scene, song or dance at our cabaret showcase!

Acting Fundamentals

Girls will work on “believable behavior under imaginary circumstances.” The pillars of this class include building a foundation of one’s imagination, exploring improv techniques and games, and learning how to make acting choices, physicalize a character, and how to take apart a script.

Vocal Coaching

Let’s sing! In this class girls will learn how to warm up the voice, make sound with support of the breath, and make music. No prior singing experience is necessary. Build the confidence to use your voice.

Scenework

Acting and Musical Theater are collaborative endeavors. Using “sides” (parts of a script) from plays, musicals, television and film, girls will work on roles and learn how to listen and respond to their scene partners.

Musical Theater Dance

Combine dancing and acting (and at times singing) with performance on stage. These classes are for girls who like telling a story through dance. Exercises focus on increasing flexibility, strength, confidence, and performance.

Audition Songs

Are you hoping to perform in a musical one day? In this class, girls will be guided to find an audition song that is age appropriate and that you can take with you after camp is over.
