ARTISTS, PERFORMERS, DIFFERENCE MAKERS, ROLE MODELS

At Berkshire Lake Arts Camp, we pride ourselves on selecting a talented, caring group of staff each summer that embody our philosophy and are warm, creative, positive role models. We accomplish this through:

• An extensive, multi-part interview process

• Counselors are vetted for personal skills and experience in performing arts or visual arts, along with a requirement of having prior experience working with youth

• In addition to their talents and skills, we only select individuals who are also deeply committed to changing our campers’ lives through the power of a supportive all-girls camp experience

• 3 different background checks completed annually at the state and federal level

• All staff come together for a week of orientation and thorough training before the campers arrive

FACTS ABOUT OUR TEAM

• Our counselor team consists of college/graduate school-aged students and recent grads. Counselors are all directly supervised by a member of our experienced Leadership team.

• Thanks to their personal connection to our mission, our staff travel from around the USA as well as internationally to be part of our community

• A registered nurse is on-site 24/7

• Camp is staffed with 1 counselor for every 3 campers
